(HALIFAX, N.S.) Atlantic University Sport (AUS) is pleased to announce a new championship partnership with Boston Pizza, designed to bring enhanced value and excitement to student-athletes, teams, and fans across the Atlantic region.
Through this partnership, Boston Pizza will support AUS through a suite of initiatives—including Player of the Game awards, discounted team meals for travelling squads, and community engagement opportunities that align with the brand’s commitment to sport, family, and group experiences.
“Boston Pizza franchisees in Atlantic Canada are very proud and excited to partner with Atlantic University Sport and their student athletes,” says Rick VanPoelgeest. “With BP locations in university towns across the region, BP provides the perfect atmosphere for not only students and athletes, but all people to gather with friends and family to watch the game, have a great meal, and to celebrate those special occasions. We believe this is a perfect way to play a small part in the university experience in communities all across the East Coast.”
“This new partnership with Boston Pizza allows us to further elevate the championship experience for our student-athletes,” said John Keefe, AUS Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO. “Together, we’ll recognize excellence on the field of play, and also support athletes and teams during their travels with opportunities to share meals and moments together in an environment that already embraces sport, family, and community.”
The AUS fall championship season gets underway later this month with rugby, soccer, and football playoffs, as well as the championship meet in AUS cross country, where Boston Pizza’s presence will be felt both in competition and beyond.
