Championship Preview: 2025 Bell AUS Women’s Soccer Championship presented by Protocase

(SYDNEY, N.S.) The road to the title runs through Sydney, N.S., as Cape Breton University hosts the 2025 Bell AUS Women's Soccer Championship, presented by Protocase, from October 23–26.

Six teams will compete for the conference crown and a berth to nationals, with quarterfinal action kicking off Thursday at Ness Timmons Field.

Thursday, Oct. 23

• QF #1: Acadia (5) vs. Memorial (4), 1 p.m.
• QF #2: STFX (6) vs. Cape Breton (3), 4 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 24

• SF #1: Winner QF #1 vs. Dalhousie (1), 1 p.m.
• SF #2: Winner QF #2 vs. UNB (2), 4 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 26

• Final: SF Winners, 1 p.m.

The Cape Breton CAPERS enter as defending AUS champions, finishing the 2025 regular season in third place with a 7-3-2 record. The CAPERS will look to defend their title on home turf in Sydney.

The Dalhousie Tigers claimed the top seed and earned a direct berth to the semifinals after an outstanding season, finishing 10-1-1. Their only loss came on September 27, a 2-1 setback to UNB.

The UNB Reds also secured a semifinal bye, finishing close behind in second place at 8-1-3.

Rounding out the championship field are the Memorial Sea-Hawks (7-3-2, 4th), Acadia Axewomen (6-4-2, 5th), and STFX X-Women (3-3-6, 6th), all looking to make a statement in postseason play.

The AUS champion will advance to the 2025 U SPORTS Women's Soccer Championship, hosted November 6–9 by McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont. More information on the national championship is available here.
