UNB, Saint Mary’s Set to Meet in 2026 Bell AUS Women’s Volleyball Final
Top-seeded REDS host defending champion Huskies in best-of-three series with a national championship berth on the line
(FREDERICTON, N.B.) The stage is set for the 2026 Bell AUS Women's Volleyball Championship final, as the top-seeded UNB REDS prepare to face the defending champion Saint Mary's Huskies in a best-of-three series.
UNB has been dominant all season long. The REDS completed a perfect 20-0 regular season to finish first in the AUS standings. Their semifinal series, however, proved to be a test of resilience. After dropping Match 1 to the fourth-place Dalhousie Tigers, UNB bounced back to win the next two matches and take the series 2-1 to advance to the conference final.
Saint Mary's enters the championship round with momentum of their own. The defending AUS champions finished the regular season with a 10-10 record, good for third place. The Huskies then travelled to St. John's, N.L., where they swept the second-ranked Memorial Sea-Hawks in two straight matches to punch their ticket to the final.
The AUS champion will earn the conference's lone berth at the 2026 U SPORTS Women's Volleyball Championship, hosted by Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C., March 13–15.
