Mikaela James from the STFX X-Women basketball team is the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 2, 2025.
A first-year guard from Toronto, Ont., James was the leading scorer in two STFX wins this past week, helping the team to a 4-0 start to the season.
In Wednesday’s home opening 67-40 win over Dalhousie, Mikaela scored a game-high 18 points and earned player of the game honours.
On the road Saturday in Halifax, she followed up with another 18-point performance against Dalhousie and scored the game-winning basket in a 68-66 win. She also added four rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Malik Williams, a running back from the Saint Mary’s Huskies football team, has been named the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 2, 2025.
A fifth-year commerce student from Ajax, Ont., Williams was named Boston Pizza Player of the Game in Saturday’s 37-0 win over the Acadia Axemen in the Bell AUS Football Playoffs semifinal.
Williams rushed for 118 yards on 16 carries, including two touchdowns. His 48-yard touchdown run in the second quarter gave the Huskies a 25-0 lead, and he added a three-yard touchdown in the third quarter to extend the lead to 35-0.
In eight regular season games, Williams rushed 77 times for 426 yards and an AUS-leading 11 touchdowns—the third-most rushing touchdowns in a single season in Huskies football history.

Silas Fagnan of the STFX X-Men football team has been named the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 2, 2025.
A fifth-year quarterback from Bonnyville, Alta., Fagnan was named Boston Pizza Player of the Game in the X-Men’s 26-24 win over Bishop’s in Saturday’s AUS semifinal playoff game, earning them a spot in Saturday’s Bell AUS Loney Bowl championship game.
He went 26 for 37 in the air, throwing two touchdown passes for 324 total yards in the game, and rushed four times for 19 yards. Fagnan averaged 214.8 yards/game in passing this season.
